Ras Kimono – “Many Young Artistes Will Soon Go Mad”

Nigerian veteran reggae act, Ras Kimono has spoken about the constant use of alcohol and drugs by younger artistes in Nigeria today.

He made this revelation in an interview with The Nation.

“With the rate at which our young entertainers are abusing drugs, and alcohol, many of them will be raving mad, in asylums, or rehab in the next 10 years” said the legendary act.

In the interview Ras Kimono claims that he does not use drugs including cannabis which is favoured by many Reggae acts.

He also said he is a vegetarian and does not drink.

“I have never smoked ,nor drank alcohol in my over thirty years as a musician. There are a number of reggae musicians who do not abuse drugs, nor drink alcohol” he said.
