On Thursday, The CW 's head honcho,
Mark Pedowitz , revealed that Nina Dobrev is in talks to return to the popular program for its final season!

After explaining that network executives backed co-creator Julie Plec 's decision to end the show after its eighth installment, Mark explained that they're trying to get the Degrassi: The Next Generation alum to come back.
During the Television Critics Association press tour, Mark revealed:
"There are discussions going on with Nina, we'd love to have her back…These are discussions that goes on, hopefully she'll be back, but should it not work out, Julie has planned out a great series finale for fans."
OMG! We really hope the 27-year-old says yes!!!
But if she does, The CW bigwig isn't sure how long Miz Dobrev would be back, saying it would be "as many [episodes] as Julie thinks she needs her for."
Mr. Pedowitz stressed that he'd really love for the brunette beauty to return:
"I always like to have Nina. Who doesn't like to have Nina on the show? She was a great person to have. She was a great spokesperson for The CW and for The Vampire Diaries. She made a career decision that, for her, was probably the right decision but we'd love to have her back," he said. "But again, if it cannot work out, Julie will take care to have a really satisfactory series finale."
Regardless of what happens, we have a feeling the cast and crew will give the show a perfect sendoff , with or without Nina!
