Set in the 1980s in one of America’s most bustling cities, The Queen of Miami tells the story of a dark underworld of drugs, violence and betrayal centred around one very powerful woman; Anastasia Cardona. Telemundo’s brand-new telenovela premieres this December, and along with its gripping storyline, it boasts a hugely talented cast to match!

Kate Del Castillo is Anastasia Cardona

Kate plays the show’s protagonist, Anastasia, who faces a battle for vengeance and survival after she takes over her late husband’s cocaine empire. Managing a new business while keeping her enemies at bay proves difficult for Anastasia, but it’s nothing she can’t handle.

Jorge Zabaleta is Conrado San Miguel

Conrado San Miguel, played by Jorge Zabaleta, is a Chilean who prefers to keep to himself, whilst running a small marijuana business – until he becomes involved with the hard drugs, that is. A man who once lived a simple life will have his world turned upside down, when he becomes trapped like a fly in Anastasia’s sticky web.

José María Torre is Adán Romero

Adán (José María) is a man chasing after the American dream and a better life for his beloved family, but instead finds himself living a nightmare. In a quest to rebuild his life, he learns that selling your soul to the devil isn’t always the quick fix it appears to be. Tony plays a man working in the belly of the underworld. He’s a lethal bodyguard and unyielding hitman, but at the same time is a truly faithful servant to his master. The only thing that can bring him down is his love for his boss, the one and only Anastasia Cardona.

Adriana Barraza is Irene Medrano

Oscar-nominated Adriana Barraza plays Irene Medrano in The Queen of Miami, a former lady of the night, who manages to escape from the dark underworld. Dazzled by the bright lights, men and money of the city, she will do anything to provide for her daughter, including becoming involved in Anastasia’s operation and passing on all she knows about the solicitation game.

Miguel Varoni is Leandro Quesada

Miguel’s character, Leandro Quesada, is a man many look up to and respect. He also happens to be a ruthless murderer and head of the Santa Normal cartel, as well as Anastasia’s biggest enemy. Despite his age and the fact that he’s a beloved benefactor of his city, crooked branches never straighten out with age. How far will he go to regain his power over Miami?
