Kat Graham is leaving The Vampire Diaries now too… but not until next year

The Bonnie Bennett actress insists her exit will "blow it out".


Kat Graham is quitting long-running cult hit The Vampire Diaries… next year.

The Bonnie Bennett actress has revealed that she will not remain with The CW drama series should it be renewed beyond its upcoming eighth season.

"Season eight will be my last season," she told Us Weekly. "I just hope that whatever I do after, the crew can come with me."

Graham added: "The crew is going to be the hardest thing to let go, because we are a family."


The star also urged Vampire Diaries' loyal fans not to worry yet – because there will be an entire year before they have to say goodbye to Bonnie.

"Another season is a whole other year and we're going to blow it out," she added.

Graham is the latest in a series of high-profile departures from The Vampire Diaries.

Steven R. McQueen quit his role as Jeremy Gilbert early last year, with series lead Nina Dobrev following a few months later.

The CW picked up The Vampire Diaries for season eight in March.
